Following a solid 3-0 victory away to Pinchbeck on Tuesday evening, the Town keep it local this Saturday with the short trip to Thurlow Nunn North outfit Parson Drove. Drove were founded in 1921 and like the Fenmen play in red, so Wisbech will once again be in white and black away kit.

Drove have had many successes historically in both the Peterborough District and Junior Cup competitions. Re-forming in 2017 the club was renamed FC Parson Drove and under its new guise entered the FA Vase for the first time in the 2021-22 season.

For Wisbech, many of the regular supporters were pleased on Tuesday to see not just one full compliment of players but two full compliments (if that’s the right word!) of players. Saturday’s fixture will allow the management team to continue to give minutes and decide on the regular first team squad for the new UCL season. Precision finishing and strong performances in goal and defence would have done much to cheer the hearts of the travelling Fenmen and prepare them for a trip to Main Road.
