The Fenmen came from behind to earn a draw in this afternoon's local derby at Fountain Fresh Park.
Wisbech improved on their lacklustre display agaiinst Lincoln Utd on Saturday and Deeping had to defend deep in the latter stages to keep the home side at bay.
Pat Kacirek returned to the starting 11 and Wisbech bid farewell to Aaron Hart, who was playing his last game before relocating to Manchester.
The first half served up little for the Boxing Day crowd, although Toby Allen's fiercely-hit shot was blocked and Andre Williams' effort was saved after he was put through.
The Fenmen held the initiative for most of the second half but Deeping were dangerous on the break. They took the lead after 58 minutes when a corner was half-cleared to Liam Hook, whose low shot through a crowded penalty area found the net.
Wisbech were not behind for long. After 62 minutes Allen did well on the left and broke away only to be brought down in the box. A clear penalty which Sam Murphy converted, his fifth successful spot kick of the season.
The home side continued to press forward, with Amir Ward particularly prominent. The closest The Fenmen came to a winner was when a shot clipped the bar.
