The Fenmen produced a vastly improved performance to see off their Derbyshire visitors at Fountain Fresh Park this afternoon.
After the horror show at Pinchbeck last week, it was good to see the young home side battling hard and, after one or two scares, securing a much-needed three points.
It was a dream debut for new boy Harry Grigas, who opened the scoring after 25 minutes. He latched on to Toby Allen's flicked header and powered a left-foot shot into the roof of the net.
Wisbech held the upper hand in the first 30 minutes but Heanor took over and it was no real surprise when Danny Gordon's cross was converted at close range by Keaton August just before half time.
The visitors looked more likely to score after the break but it was the Fenmen who regained the advantage when Toby Allen netted from the penalty spot, his 16th goal of the season.
It was 3-1 soon afterwards. Wisbech won the ball in midfield and Andre Williams beat the offside trap to score his first goal since signing from Pinchbeck.
Heanor goalkeeper Emery was sent off for dissent after 72 minutes but this seemed to spur the visitors on. The 10 men pinned Wisbech back and alarm bells rang when James Taylor reduced the arrears.
The home side were forced into some last-ditch defending, including a clearance off the line, but they hung on and made it 4-2 when Rob Conyard netted with virtually the last kick of the game.
