The Fenmen let slip a two-goal advantage and had to settle for a draw at Fountain Fresh Park this afternoon.
Visitors Hucknall, battling against relegation, were well worth their point against a Wisbech side which suffered a second-half dip in performance.
It had begun so well with Wisbech dominating the opening stages. They deservedly took the lead after 12 minutes when veteran striker Michael Frew, back after a horrible injury and on loan from Stamford, slotted home Ethan Wilson's left-wing cross after being left unmarked in the penalty area.
At this stage the Fenmen were first to every ball and it was no surprise when Oli Williams converted a left-wing cross from Andre Williams to double the lead.
But Hucknall, backed by a sizeable contingent from Nottinghamshire, hit back to reduce the arrears through Sam Smith.
Right on half-time Frew was put through but he was pushed wide and the chance went.
The second-half was basically a non-event for the Fenmen, the only surprise being that it took Hucknall until added time to equalise.
They were the better side and dominated play but could not beat goalkeeper Dan George until Niall Towle finished off a well-worked move from 20 yards.
Wisbech were down to 10 men at the time as Harry Twite, back from international duty with Bermuda, had been sinbinned for dissent.
Hucknall have been poor on their travels. This was just their fifth away point of the season.
