The Fenmen make their final home appearance of the season when they entertain Loughborough Students at Fountain Fresh Park on Saturday.
The full-time Scholars are on a fine run of form and still have a chance of pipping Lincoln Utd to runners-up spot behind champions Sherwood Colliery.
Wisbech will be intent on stretching their unbeaten run to seven matches.
The Students emerged with a narrow 1-0 victory when the teams met in Loughborough back in November.
Their main threat will come from leading scorer Dylan Edwards, who has found the net 29 times in 34 appearances.
Club History
The club was founded in 1920 under the name Loughborough College. They joined Division Two of the Leicestershire Senior League in 1966, where they remained until 1972.
They then left senior football, and did not return until 2007, when they were promoted to the Midland Combination Premier Division which they won in 2008/09, resulting in promotion to the Midland Alliance.
The Scholars ground shared at Loughborough Dynamo until moving into the new Loughborough University Stadium .
For the 2015/16 season the club turned to former Quorn AFC assistant manager and experienced non-league man Karl Brennan, and saw an upturn in results.
In 2017 Alex Ackerley was confirmed as full-time head coach. The team managed to avoid relegation narrowly that season.
With the reorganisation of the Step 5 leagues in 2019, Loughborough Students were moved in to the United Counties League.
In 2021 former former Ipswich and Birmingham player Jamie Clapham was appointed as head coach, replacing Ackerley who joined Sunderland to coach in their Academy.
In the 2022 the Scholars were crowned university national champions for the first time in nine years and were semi-finalists in the FA Vase, losing away to Littlehampton Town.
