Wisbech Town FC U16’s - 0
Fishtoft FC U16’s - 0
League action for Wisbech Town Under 16’s against league leaders Fishtoft.
The Fenmen went into the game without both recognised strikers from last season through injury, and their flying winger Samuel Keenoy was also absent after suffering a broken wrist in last week’s cup game and will miss the next six weeks.
The Fenmen played with a change of shape and personnel in attack with defenders and goalkeepersi turned into strikers for the day.
The Fenmen played with commitment and passion throughout the game and limited the league leaders to three attempts on goal throughout the whole game.
Some impressive football was played by the young Fenmen and on another day they would have scored three or four goals, but they just could not find the net as hard as they tried.
Special mention for Jack Jarvis The Fenmen‘s centre back converted to a striker for the day who worked his socks off trying for his team in an unfamiliar position.
The Under 16’s are at home this Sunday to Deeping Rangers with a 1.30pm KO.
